These smorgasbords are always a treat to read. It's the all-hands business meeting only the participants live all over the place. Our worlds are so different, peppering out words with different spices and salting them with depth. I love it, Tonya. Thank you for these opportunities.
I've been trying to think of something to write about for Fran's prompt: gravid. It's rolling around in there somewhere. I don't want her to be discouraged if there's a lack of response. Then again, just because I haven't seen any response doesn't mean there have been any.
The beauty of a prompt like that (especially with a word as evocative as Gravid) is that it will marinate in everyone who read it. It'll come out in different ways, at different times. And I think it's always worth it to put that grain out into the world, even knowing you may not see exactly what it turns into.
That said, if you end up writing something directly inspired by it, I'll be so excited to see it.
Still haven't been able to write something on Gravid, but by your descriptions in the prompt, what I'm going through right now is Gravid. The words and inspirations are bursting forth so quickly I can't keep up with them. It's like I've been gestating for 75 years and suddenly, the plug popped out and here it comes. Thank you.
Paul: Alabama fried okra ain't like the stuff you get in New York. Methinks it's the special mushroom dust that does the trick. Or maybe I dreamed that…..
I'm with Anthony on this one. He perfectly describes my reaction to the question. He made me lol!

Thank you, Sue! And thanks for your incredible response to this one.

Hi, Sue, thanks for the commitment! Sometimes it takes a while to get the pump primed, is all.

It was cathartic. Thank you.

I smoked that mushroom dust. Maybe I should have just eaten it?
I love this.
"Daytime dreams, on the other hand, are like gifts with ribbons.” Yes.
What a glorious and varied response.
In the last few weeks, I’ve started sleeping again after years of insomnia. It helps to know what others are dreaming now.
